Do the kids love playing with playdough but you hate making it? this Could Dough recipe is for you, only two ingredients (three if you want to add colour) and super simple to make.

So why is cloud dough easier to make then playdough, firstly it has less ingredients and secondly there is no real measuring involved. You can measure if you want to but you must mix the ingredients together until desired consistency, that's it! If you have primary school aged children just give them the ingredients and let them at it. I recommend this being an outside activity if your letting them make it themselves it could end up very messy.

Ingredients
2 Cups Cornflour
1 Cup Shampoo 5 Drops of your choice of food colouring
You can use any brand for all of these ingredients, I normally just buy the cheapest I can find. You could leave out the food colouring if you wish, clouds are normally white anyway.
Method
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Continue to mix until a dough is formed. You may choose to use your hands at this point and kneed it altogether. It should be a soft dough texture, if its crumbly add more shampoo, if it's sticky add more cornflour. You really can't go wrong with this recipe as it's easy to continue to add small amounts of cornflour or shampoo until you get your desired texture. Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag for a couple of weeks.
Play ideas
You can make the playtime last longer buy giving your children any plastic toys they are interested in, animals, trucks, fairies, cars the possibilities are endless. Just make sure you wash the cloud dough off the toys when you finish. You could add straws or craft sticks for robot or house making. Let their imaginations run wild!
