Recipe - Mince & Hokkien Noodle Stir Fry

A quick and tasty stir-fry, complete with the goodness of vegetables and a whole lot of flavour.

Whip up this easy throw together stir fry. Mince tossed with vegetables with a home made savoury yet sweet sauce guaranteed to make your mouth water.

Prep: 10 minutes Cooking: 20 minutes Ready in: 35 minutes Makes: 10 serves Cost: $23.48 or $2.34 per serve



  • 1 and a half tablespoons Oil (peanut)

  • 1 Onion sliced

  • 3 Garlic Cloves crushed

  • 500 grams Mince

  • 300 grams Broccoli cut into florets

  • 1 tin Corn kernels

  • 1 Carrot sliced

  • 1 Red Capsicum sliced

  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce

  • 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce

  • 2 Spring Onions sliced

  • 450 grams Hokkien Noodles


  1. Add oil to pan and heat

  2. Add Onion and garlic, sauté

  3. Add mince, stir until cooked

  4. Add broccoli, corn, carrots and capsicum fry until tender

  5. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine

  6. Put noodles in bowl, boil kettle and pour over noodles

  7. Once noodles are soft, add to mince and mix well

  8. Serve and eat straight away or freeze for another day
