Recipe - Nut Free Snack Bites

A great lunch box favourite. If your little one is nut free or schools, preschools, child-care centres are nut free. These little treasures will help to keep both little and big people satisfied between main meals. They taste and so yummy you'll forget they're actually good for you too!

Prep: 15 minutes Ready in: 30 minutes Makes: 31 serves Cost: $9.37 or 30c per serve


  • 1/2 cup Dates

  • 1 cup Corn Flakes

  • 1 cup Rice Bubbles

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Chia Seeds

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Coconut Oil

  • 1/4 cup Water

  • 1 tablespoon Golden Syrup

  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder

  • 1/2 cup desiccated Coconut


  1. Put all ingredients into a blender

  2. Blend until resembles a sticky dough

  3. If mixture is crumbly add 1 tsp water until the mix holds together when squeezed

  4. Roll into balls or put into baking tray and chill and cut into cubes

  5. Roll in extra coconut or sprinkle over the top
