Recipe - Cinnamon Tea Cake

Introducing the easy Cinnamon Tea Cake.

It comes together in minutes and boasts a buttery crumb and a sweet cinnamon sugar crust. The perfect morning teas.

You only need a handful of ingredients, put them all ingredients in bowl and whip together and you’ve got the perfect cake to share with family and friends.

Prep time: 10 min - Cooking time: 20 min - Ready in: 30 min Makes: 21 serves - Cost : $6.75 or 32 cents per serve


  • 175 grams Butter soft

  • 215 g (1 1/2 cup) Castor Sugar plus extra 2 tbls

  • 185ml (3/4 cup) Milk

  • 3 Eggs

  • 2 tablespoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon plus extra 1 tsp

  • 270 grams (1 3/4 cup) Self Raising Flour

  • 35 grams (3/4 cup) Custard Powder


  1. Preheat oven 180°

  2. Grease muffin tray.

  3. Place butter, sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, flour and custard powder in a bowl and mix well until combined.

  4. Continue beating and increase speed to high until mixture is pale and creamy.

  5. Pour mix into tray.

  6. Mix extra sugar and cinnamon in bowl to sprinkle on top of cake batter.

  7. Bake for 20 mins.
