I would like to start this blog post by saying FED IS BEST, this is in no way me pushing breastfeeding or putting down those that choose not to or cant breastfeed. I just want to share some great resources I found today to support mothers that are breastfeeding. The newborn stage of parenthood is challenging, you as the mother are dealing with matrescence (I think I need do a whole blog on Matrescence! It was life changing for me when I learnt about matrescence.) lack of sleep, hormones and balancing your new ever changing world. It can become even more challenging if your baby isn't feeding properly, the Australian Breastfeeding Association has a fantastic website with many recourses and support services for mothers and fathers. Lets start with the Breastfeeding Helpline, Information and Support from qualified breastfeeding counsellors. The Breastfeeding Helpline is a free call available 24/7. LiveChat Judgement-free breastfeeding support via LiveChat - perfect if baby is currently sleeping ON you! LiveChat hours:

Another great resource is the mum2mum app, it provides you with all the breastfeeding information and support you need at your fingertips. It can also help you keep track of your babies feeds, nappy changes and sleep patterns if you wish to.
Australian Breastfeeding Association also has a Virtual Village that you can subscribe to. The Virtual Village will provide you with information and support in the early days and weeks after giving birth. Drop into one of their live sessions whilst you're still in hospital or from the comfort of your own bed or couch.
I hope you find these resources helpful and please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like help finding other information of if you just want someone to talk to.
